The article that I chose to write about is written by Rolling Stone magazine. This short article is all about Wiz Khalifa. Wiz Khalifa is a very new rapper coming out and becoming famous. Wiz Khalifa calls Pittsburgh home although he has been moving around the world with his family all of his life. Wiz has lived in Japan, North Dakota, England, Germany, etc. However he is most attached to Pittsburgh. Wiz Khalifa is arguably the most talented and famous rap artist to emerge from Pittsburgh. Wiz has many favorite artists/idols including Wu Tang clan, Bone Thugs and Harmony, and several others. Wiz has had many big record offers but the talented youth states that he would rather stay and do his own “independent thing". When interviewed Wiz Khalifa said that when making song lyrics. He hums to himself something that would flow along with the beat of the song and then throughout that he makes the lyrics. Wiz said that flow was more important than the actual lyrics. Wiz Khalifa is very well known for having so many different beats throughout his songs. All of his songs sound a lot different which is another likeable aspect about Wiz Khalifa's music. It is expected by many people that Wiz Khalifa will soon become one of the most respectable rappers. I personally am excited to see what this young guy has to offer. I think that Wiz has a huge amount of potential. This article relates quite well to me personally. Although I enjoy just about every type of music, hip hop is one of my favorites. Wiz Khalifa is currently one of my favorite artists. I think that he is incredibly talented and that the songs he will produce are just going to get better and become more popular.

I have also been folliwing Wiz Khalifa. He is getting more and more popular everyday. I love how he makes his own lyrics. It makes his music so origional. He is very young and I see his as a future big name in the rap genre. I agree that he will be very popular in the next years. His music will get better as he goes along.
ReplyDeleteI do not like Wiz Khalifa I think that he is a one hit wonder. His peak came when he his single say yeah came out. I think Say yeah was a great song, but I do not think he will gain anymore fame then he has right now.
ReplyDeleteI think it is interesting how the music industry is continually changing. There is always a new and more talented artist, and I am excited to see what this person has to bring. I'm not sure I've actually heard one of his songs, but I will look into them now.
